chateau de samary

Where 18th-century French grandeur meets bespoke Indonesian craftsmanship in the heart of Carcassonne.

Elegant dining room with patterned tile floor, white chairs, wooden table with a candlestick and flowers, window with sunlight, and vintage decor.
A large, historic white building with tall windows and stone accents, surrounded by bushes and trees under a clear blue sky.

FRENCH Louis iVx LIGHT

The Challenge:

To revitalize a historic château with a fresh, light-filled interpretation of French classicism, blending Louis XIV influences with custom-designed furniture from Indonesia for a truly unique luxury experience.

Key Materials: Floral Fabrics, French Wallpapers, custom designed Louis XIV inspired Furniture, Pastel Palette

The Solution:

We created an airy, contemporary take on French classicism using a soft pastel palette that highlights the architectural details. Traditional floral-patterned fabrics and classic French wallpapers provide historical context, while custom-designed furniture from Indonesian artisans introduces unexpected warmth and craftsmanship. The pool deck continues this elegant dialogue between formal French design and organic modern comfort.

The Result:

A sophisticated balance of historical elegance and contemporary global craftsmanship. The château now offers guests an experience that honors French architectural heritage while embracing a more relaxed, internationally-infused luxury.
