NAUTIC ENGLISH CLASSIC

The challenge:

To design a restaurant and lounge bar that authentically celebrates the legacy of Admiral Sir Cloudesley Shovell, creating a sophisticated yet welcoming space that reflects his naval career and the maritime heritage of the Scilly Isles.

Key materials:

Navy Blue Leather, Chesterfield Seating, Historical Elements

The solution:

We drew direct inspiration from the Admiral's era and naval command, incorporating rich navy blue tones and sturdy leather lounge chairs reminiscent of officer's quarters. Traditional Chesterfield bench seating provides classic comfort, while curated historical prints and subtle nautical detailing honor the Admiral's legacy without resorting to theme-park aesthetics. The atmosphere balances dignified refinement with cozy, club-like warmth.

The result:

A distinguished dining destination that transports guests to the golden age of naval exploration. The space serves as both a respectful tribute to Admiral Shovell's legacy and a comfortable, elegant setting for modern dining and socializing.
